No more applications for studios until we raise more funds. Please help.
Eight people all under one roof. That was the situation in Anita’s three-bedroom house. She lived with her partner and three children. Then she took in her two nephews and one of their girlfriends, when it was no longer safe for them to live in their own homes.
There was no shortage of love and care in Anita’s house. But the family was in desperate need of space. And when overcrowding becomes unbearable, young people are at risk of leaving home far too early—with devastating consequences.
Please will you give a gift and help build more build studios for families like Anita’s, so young people can have the space for a brighter future?
Thankfully, Kids Under Cover was able to build a two-bedroom studio in the backyard of Anita’s house. All the young people in her family now have the space to grow and thrive.
But if Anita had applied for a studio today, she wouldn’t get one.
Sadly we were forced to stop accepting applications, due to a shortage of funds. Since that difficult decision was made, over 900 families have reached out for help. To build the studios that are desperately needed, it will take more funds.
